Planet Network International was present and actively participated in the prestigious “AI for Good” Global Summit organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in Geneva, Switzerland, on July 6th and 7th, 2023.
The “AI for Good” Global Summit brought together prominent stakeholders, including governments, policymakers, industry leaders, academics, scientists, technology innovators, civil society representatives, and the United Nations community. The objective of this event was to explore practical applications of artificial intelligence (AI) to promote the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.
As a company committed to technology and digital transformation, Planet Network International actively engaged in discussions about the future of AI and its role in advancing society. As the convenor of the event, ITU played a crucial role in convening these stakeholders to foster collaboration and explore innovative AI solutions.
During the Summit, participants addressed critical topics such as the emergence of generative AI, challenges related to AI, and the need to establish global governance frameworks to guide responsible AI development. Innovative ideas were presented, including the creation of a registry for new or anticipated AI applications, a global AI observatory, and new institutional bodies.
